WWJD: Gas Prices
This is a little segment of my blog called “WWJD: What Would Josh Do?”. Today, I’m gonna tell you my plan for lowering gas prices.
Gas prices have gotten out of hand. During the whole Hurricane Katrina thing, I could kinda-sorta understand it… a great deal of our oil is refined and manufactured there. So I suppose I get that. But, recently it’s just gone up… with no national disaster. That, I don’t get.
From what I understand about the oil industry, and my understand is very limited, when the crude oil price per gallon goes up… prices at the pump go up. So my question is… why does the price of crude oil go up? Seriously, did mining it suddenly take a price jump? I don’t think so. I think it’s because somebody just felt a little more greedy, and because they know we will pay for it… why not raise the prices?
So, here’s the question… What Would Josh Do?
My solution is really quite simple. Wherever it is that this crude oil is coming from (primarily the Middle East), take it over. Problem solved. I don’t think I need to elaborate on how to do that.
