Creative Junk group on VIRB breaks the 1000 member mark. I’m consistently amazed at the quality of talent that makeup Creative Junk. We’re bigger than Starbucks.

One year away.

Yesterday, I turned 29-years-old. Just one year away from the big 3-0. It’s crazy to think that I’m that old. I feel like I’m just getting started. I had a pretty good birthday… lots of sitting around, doing nothing. My kind of day. I played video games on the new Playstation 3; then later we went to Shogun with Brock and Lauren and enjoyed some sushi and good Teppenyaki food.

Thanks to everyone who sent happy birthday wishes… very thoughtful of you.

Don’t let them sit in there.

Our church is a little over two years old. Lots of things have changed as our church has moved along; but one thing has remained. People come and people go. I think that this is one of the things that has kept our church healthy. If people aren’t happy, let them go. It doesn’t do anyone any good to let them sit in there.

Sometimes people don’t fit, don’t belong, or just don’t get it. It’s okay to let people leave your church. So many times we don’t want anyone to leave our church; so we change things or whatever to make them stay. My analogy for this practice: It’s like not taking a dump. If your body didn’t get rid of its waste, it would eventually poison your system and kill you. God designed the human body with an exit. So why shouldn’t the church have an exit?

At Keypoint Church, we tell people… if you aren’t completely sold out on the vision that God has given to KPC, move on and find a place that you can plug into. I love that about our church. I love that we aren’t afraid of losing a few people in order to keep pressing toward the God-given dream that we have. Obviously, we don’t desire for anyone to leave our church… but sometimes it’s the best thing for everyone.

Maybe I’ll give some more thought on this later. Maybe.
