Republican Party Presidential Debate.
I watched it. Really wasn’t planning on it, but the whole YouTube involvement pulled me in. Honestly, I came away from it with some different opinions of people. It should also be said that I have done zero research on the candidates, and that I will base my opinions off my gut instinct. So, here goes…
Congressman Duncan Hunter: He kinda falls right in the middle of the spectrum. He didn’t get the chance to say a whole lot during the debate, but when he did… it was usually to the point.
Congressman Ron Paul: There’s something odd about him. He just seems a little whiny to me, and for him to think that he’s on the forefront of a “revolution” is just ridiculous.
Senator John McCain: Although I have a great deal of respect for Mr. McCain because of his service to our country and the things that he has been through; he seems a little too John Wayne to me. I do like him though. He’s perhaps the most like Ronald Reagan.
Senator Fred Thompson: I like Fred. I didn’t at first, but my opinion has changed. I just can’t tell if he’s acting or not. That bothers me.
Mayor Rudy Giuliani: I wasn’t real impressed with Rudy. He seemed to cave under pressure. Initially, I thought he was probably one of the best leaders on the stage… but maybe, just maybe, he just had some good leaders working for him while he was mayor of NYC.
Governor Mitt Romney: I don’t trust this guy any farther than I can throw him. Just too much of a politician if you ask me. He was even back-peddling from Anderson Cooper’s questions.
Governor Mike Huckabee: Mr. Huckabee seems to have his stuff together. Thus far, he’s my favorite. Plus, who wouldn’t vote for a guy with an ad campaign like this.
Congressman Tom Tancredo: I don’t think this guy said 25 words the entire debate. Probably not his fault though, he just not a front-runner.
