Back from Impact.

I’ve been out of town for the last 10 days, sorry for my absence.  It was my intention to blog while at Impact, but the internet up there sucks eggs… so no dice on the blogging.  A few things happened before and during this road trip, I’ll highlight several of them here:

• Rental car companies have the most ridiculous policies EVER.  EVER.
• Missouri is still one of the most boring states to drive through.
• Illinois pretty much sucks too.
• Stopped and saw my dad and step-mom in St. Louis… ate at Friday’s.
• Played my first game of golf EVER.  I shot a pretty good bowling score.
• I always love hanging out with our media team at Impact.  They make it worthwhile.
• I missed my wife more than ever on this trip.

Glad to be back.  Out.

On the road tomorrow.

I’m heading out tomorrow for the state of Michigan for Impact Summer Camp.  I will have a short stop in St. Louis, MO to see my dad and step-mom who just happen to be in St. Louis the day that I’m leaving.  Although, my wife isn’t going with me… I will not be traveling alone.  I’m bringing a noob with me to learn all the great things that are Impact media.

Impact should be bootcamp for media noobs.

David Logo Final.

So this is what I decided on for the “David” series logo.  After much deliberation and help from the Church Marketing Lab, this is the result.  It’s not the greatest thing I’ve every done.  But as far as achieving the Lord of the Rings, epic sorta feel … I think it’s there.
